A day late, oops!

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing.

Spring has (almost) sprung, and I’m thankful for that! I’m not a huge fan of the winter months—too cold and usually dreary—for my liking, so the warmer weather and bright sunshine is enough to make me sing a jaunty little tune. Even the rain showers and thunderstorms can’t bring me down. (Mostly because I love rain showers and thunderstorms. Duck, on the other hand, does not… He DOES like automatic car washes, though.)

Husband and I ‘renovated’ our kitchen (AKA, we bought cabinetry from Home Depot and installed it in our kitchen because we were incredibly tired of not having enough storage space). Four years of living here, and I now like our kitchen more than I ever have before, lol. I can open the standalone pantry doors and find exactly what I’m looking for instead of having to sift through things piled haphazardly on a shelf.

On the writing front: I’ve been writing steadily again, which is great, honestly. It’s been a few weeks of slow-going; the end of January screwed me up a bit for a while. But now I’m back and better than ever. (Mostly.) I’ve been hyperfocusing on a few different books:
1] single parents
2] grumpy/sunshine
3] the second part to Letters from Home
4] a rockstar/journalist.

It’s a very fun balance I’m trying to strike. (Can I be honest? I’m gonna be honest: The grumpy/sunshine is definitely turning out to be my favorite to write. There’s a cute little kitty in it.) If you wanna know more about any of them, just ask! I’m glad to blab your ear (…eyes?) off about them.

The end of last month was a big anniversary for me—5 whole years since Scars & Souvenirs was released. FIVE YEARS. 🤯 It doesn’t feel like that long, but it’s been half a decade since I threw my debut into the world and hoped for the best. Now here I am, working on my 6th book, and I’m still hoping for the best, to be honest. I’m genuinely thankful beyond word, beyond measure, that I’ve had such a fantastic support system in place between my family, my friends (my Quack Pack, if you will), and you.

If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you so very much. If you’re new here, thank you so very much. Your support means the world to me, and I can never thank you enough.

Now, time for what you’re probably reading for: The winner of last month’s signed paperback or digital bundle giveaway! By the powers of a randomizing wheel, the winner of the signed paperback is Melody! I also decided to pick another winner to get the digital bundle of all of my books and novellas. That winner is Lalita. I’ll be emailing you both directly to arrange the prize. Please check your spam folder just in case.

Congratulations to you both! Keep an eye on my newsletters, everyone, because you never know when I’ll do another giveaway. :)

Of Love & Beer by Amanda Darcy

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single woman of good judgment can totally trust her first impressions. So when craft brewer Ellis Bourne overhears a handsome winery owner insulting her and her work, she dismisses him as the human equivalent of a skunky beer.

Of Love & Beer is a closed door, contemporary retelling of Pride and Prejudice (no prior knowledge of the book is required) with Hallmark movie vibes and a PG rating for language. Expect a grump with trust issues, a meddlesome family, fiery disagreements, shocking insults, and some satisfying comeuppances, and of course, a HEA.

When I manage to tear myself away from taking Buzzfeed quizzes and watching unhealthy amounts of TV, I write romance and smut. My works feature alpha males, sexy times, and/or my sarcastic sense of humor. I hail from Cleveland, aka the best freaking city in the world, and believe LeBron James is the perfect human being. Despite all of my efforts, I have never truly been able to quit caffeine. My favorites include Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, and SHINee. I love to hate/hate to love k-dramas. If I say I’m on a diet, I’m just lying to you and myself. One of these days, I'm going to get hypertension from an excess of salt, both literal and figurative. If I'm awkward around you, I probably don't know what to say to you and/or I think you're hot. And despite what anyone says, Forrest Gump so deserved that Oscar over Pulp Fiction.

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome to April! I’m coming to you live from Headacheville where I’ve resided for the last few days. It’s… not pleasant. So with that in mind, I’ll be keeping this month’s newsletter short and sweet. Last week was my birthday (35, yay!), which I spent in the best way possible: spending time with the kiddos and Husband. I even recreated one of my absolute most favorite...

It’s hard to believe January has already come and gone, but alas, here we are. Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, Palentine’s Day , or nothing at all, I hope you have lots of love in your life. Everyone deserves it. Things have been… weird for me lately. Writing took a small backseat, which hasn’t been...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Haaaappppyyyy (belated) New Year! I truly hope it’s been a wonderful start to the year. And I hope 2026 brings you nothing but joy, peace, and good things. So far, mine has been great—minus a big of a snafu with my laptop at the end of December/a few days into January. Note: Do not put an uncapped bottle of soda anywhere near a laptop. It tends to get… sticky. Thankfully, my...
