A little about life, a lot about books!

Y’all. It’s the end of the year already. My mind is boggled, my flabber is gasted. Feels like just yesterday, I was toasting to the start of 2024. Looks like I’ll be doing it again in a couple of weeks, only with 2025. What are your holiday plans? Feel free to reply to this email and let me know! ☺️ We’ll be spending Christmas Eve watching movies with hot chocolate and enjoying the peace before Santa comes. (Well, as peaceful as it can be with a toddler…)

So, as you may know, Love Notes has been in the wild for 2 weeks. Two weeks of amazing messages from you readers (and a massive amount of excitement on my end—it may be my 4th book, but I’ll never get over the rush I get from pressing Publish). I’m so so so glad you all loved Asa and Harley so much! (And to those who wished they had a Tim in their life: Trust me, so do I.) Have you read it yet? If so, did you enjoy it?

The anthology I spoke about last newsletter releases TOMORROW. I’m so stoked for it. Pawliday Love is super amazing—so many wonderful authors have come together to write some truly fantastic short stories!—and I hope y’all remember: Books make great gifts 😉 You can order it here. Proceeds go toward helping the ones affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Unfortunately, the story I’d had planned for the anthology didn’t pan out. But never fear: I’ve decided to take all the holiday-themed WIPs I started (and will continue to write over the course of the next year) and combine them into a super-duper collection to come out in December 2025!

My next book is coming along swimmingly! I think I can tell y’all a little bit about it, if you can promise to keep a secret 🤫 It’s tentatively titled Feels Like Forever, but that’s subject to change. There’s a cute toddler, a country music star, and lots of feelings. And some spice. I’m hoping to have it ready for ARC reading by February, but if you wanna read it earlier than even my ARC readers, you can sign up to beta it here.

Well, I’m off to work on FLF some more. Happy holidays, loveys. I’ll see you in 2025 🖤

Welcome to the month of loooooove. I remember just a few years ago, I’d have to buy enough mass-market Valentine’s Day cards for TWO classrooms, label them individually, wrangle my kids into signing their names to each card, and hope they remembered to take the cards to school to pass out during their Valentine’s party. Now, I have two teenagers (well… one teenager, one preteen), so those days are gone—at least until Duck starts school in roughly 3 years. Anyway! There’s gonna be an...
