Less than 2 months to go~ Who’s excited?

Wait. Let’s back up a bit. Deep breaths… Deep breaths…

Okay, hello, welcome to June! (I know it’s been June for literally 2 weeks, but shhh.) Happy Pride and Happy Juneteenth!

This past month has been chaotic, but what else is new. Oldest and Middlest are on summer break, and boyyyyy, they’re full of energy (and will to argue)! Duck is so thrilled to have his siblings home, but they’re a bit less enthused. They love school, which is such a wonderful thing, to be honest. I love that. (I just hope they never lose their love of learning.) They also love stealing my PennyPress puzzle book when I’m in the middle of my puzzles. Do you know how many puzzles they’ve taken over, so THEY can figure them out instead of me? Too many.

In writing news: I’ve been hard at work writing my next book. I’m really pleased with how well it’s going. I’ve found what helps is the game I’ve been “playing”—Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. Basically, it’s a gamified focus thing available on Steam, where I earn in-game currency for completing self-assigned tasks, using the focus timer, and creating the right combinations of activity, lighting, and sounds to find the ‘spirits’ within the game! It’s been so much fun finding the spirits and having wonderful ambience to go with my writing. (My favorite spirit is, so far, the Arachknit. [Warning for a cartoon yarn spider, if that is something you need warned about.] It’s so cute.)

Now, to shift back to the beginning—There is a little over a month to go before The Road Back Home is released! We have roughly 45 days, and I’m about to vibrate out of my skin. I’ve had some absolutely amazing feedback from early readers, and I. Can’t. Wait. For you to get a hold of this book. I know I say that every time I put out a book, but I always mean it from the bottom of my heart. Genuinely, I can never thank you enough for sticking by and reading my silly stories that I love so much.

Well, I’m off to the writing cave! See you next month.

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome. Hello to the last month of the year. It’s been a wild ride, hasn’t it? I don’t know what it’s been like for you, but I’ve had plenty of ups and downs over the last twelve months. Between a release (The Road Back Home), a potential to be in an anthology (which promptly got postponed), and plenty of back-and-forth between writing and not… I’m surprised I’ve lasted...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Holy goshitall, it’s November, which means the year is almost over. 😱 Doesn’t feel like it should be this late into the year, but… It is. Anyway. As you may have noticed, this newsletter is coming atcha a little later in the day than normal. That’s because I spent this morning/afternoon with the kiddos and Husband at my in-laws’, helping them paint/seal walls and get one...

I meant to get this out Saturday, but I totally lost track of time. Then yesterday was full of helping my in-laws, so I didn’t get the chance to draft this up. Now it’s 6:30 in the morning on a Monday...
