Helloooooo, September!

Well, well, it’s another month. How can it be September already? Alas, I have no clue, but it is. Hopefully, it’s a quieter month than what I’ve been having! (Okay, “quiet” might not be A Thing in this household with a toddler and two kids who are BOTH in band—clarinet for Oldest, flute for Middlest. It’s fun…) So maybe I’ll just ask for “less hectic”. Can we do that, Life?

We went to the aquarium a couple weeks ago to celebrate Middlest’s birthday (a week or two late, oops), but she had a BLAST anyway! Well, aquarium and Build-a-Bear. She made an Eevee and a Pikachu who both make sounds, and my gosh, it’s so adorable to hear a tiny voice saying “Eevee!” Or “Pika Pika!” Oldest got a stuffed Toothless, and we made Duck a stuffed monkey named… Tim. Tim the Monkey. And Tim the Monkey is absolutely the cutest (inanimate) thing I’ve seen in a long time.

Writing updates: I’ve been hard at work trying to finish my next book. I know I spoke about Feels Like Forever in my last newsletter, but I’m ALSO working on another untitled book. Thankfully, it’s easy to juggle the two—one chapter of FLF = one chapter of Untitled. It works. No need to worry about them not getting completed. I’m hoping one of them will be ready by November, but! I’ve learned my lesson: No promises. (Gosh, I wish I could promise it!)

The cover for Letters from Home is nearly finished, and I can’t wait to show you it!

Speaking of covers…

If you’ve not seen my social media, you wouldn’t know that I re-covered Scars & Souvenirs and Dreams Reborn. They’re absolutely beautiful, and I can’t thank my best friend, Reno, enough for their hard work.

Well, that’s all, folks. See ya next month!

Torn Pages by Ashley Chapman

Author Amber Marcus has a problem. Two years after the unexpected launch of her wildly successful debut novel, her overzealous - but well meaning - agent is hounding her to become the name in the supernatural romance genre. Publishing one book was hard enough, but venturing into a topic she knows nothing about is something else entirely. Vampires in particular are on the public radar, but meeting one is not on Amber's to-do list.

Vampire Reuben DeVito has become the face of the supernatural rights movement as the first supernatural to ever make it past the primaries. With pending legislation that would put thousands of supernatural lives at risk, Reuben will do whatever it takes to win the election. And that means proving to the human population that supernaturals are people too.

A chance encounter between Amber and Reuben may provide a solution. She needs a vampire to help her write her book, and he needs a human companion to appear, well, more human. But can they set aside their own issues to help one another?

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Summer is technically (almost) here, and I’m incredibly excited about it! As much as I adore autumn the most, summer is a close second place. Summer means taking the kiddos to the pool, going to the park/playground, and not having to wake up at 5:30 on the weekdays because there’s no school. Well, that last one WOULD be true if the older kids hadn’t decided to do voluntary...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome to April! I’m coming to you live from Headacheville where I’ve resided for the last few days. It’s… not pleasant. So with that in mind, I’ll be keeping this month’s newsletter short and sweet. Last week was my birthday (35, yay!), which I spent in the best way possible: spending time with the kiddos and Husband. I even recreated one of my absolute most favorite...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Spring has (almost) sprung, and I’m thankful for that! I’m not a huge fan of the winter months—too cold and usually dreary—for my liking, so the warmer weather and bright sunshine is enough to make me sing a jaunty little tune. Even the rain showers and thunderstorms can’t bring me down. (Mostly because I love rain showers and thunderstorms. Duck, on the other hand, does...
