It’s NOVEMBER?! 🍂

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing.

Holy goshitall, it’s November, which means the year is almost over. 😱 Doesn’t feel like it should be this late into the year, but… It is.

Anyway.

As you may have noticed, this newsletter is coming atcha a little later in the day than normal. That’s because I spent this morning/afternoon with the kiddos and Husband at my in-laws’, helping them paint/seal walls and get one step closer to finishing their cabin. (Yes, they’re building their own cabin. Themselves. I’m impressed.) It was actually more fun than I expected. Duck and Middlest had a blast ‘excavating’ for treasure (aka, digging in the dirt with spades for any pretty rocks hidden below ground), while Oldest did an incredible amount of work alongside the adults. And the weather? Absolutely perfect for what we were doing—bright and warm but not too hot, with a great breeze!

I’ve mentioned before that I was going to be in a winter-themed anthology. Unfortunately, the anthology was shelved for the time being. I’m disappointed, of course, but I completely understand the need to move the pieces of this jigsaw around a bit until they fit better. There were extenuating circumstances that no one had control over, so the organizer(s) made the right call in postponing.

With that said, however, this means I have a novella written with nowhere to go. …except maybe into your inbox? If you’re interested in reading 21,000 words about a woman who isn’t looking for love, a man who is really just trying to recover, and the dog that brings them both together, feel free to download it at the link below!

I still have the freebie Christmas scene for Max, Clay, and Co. that I’m working on; hoping to get that out soon, as well. I have a few more winter-y things brewing in my head, so we’ll see where they take us!

Mkay, I think that’s all. My in-laws kept the kiddos for overnight, so Husband and I are gonna go play some video games and relax. (Related: What video games do you like to play? I’m always on the lookout for something new!)

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome. Hello to the last month of the year. It’s been a wild ride, hasn’t it? I don’t know what it’s been like for you, but I’ve had plenty of ups and downs over the last twelve months. Between a release (The Road Back Home), a potential to be in an anthology (which promptly got postponed), and plenty of back-and-forth between writing and not… I’m surprised I’ve lasted...

I meant to get this out Saturday, but I totally lost track of time. Then yesterday was full of helping my in-laws, so I didn’t get the chance to draft this up. Now it’s 6:30 in the morning on a Monday...
