It's LOOOOOOOVE SEASON! 💘

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing.

Welcome to the (middle of the) month of L-O-V-E!! It’s hard to believe January has already come and gone, but alas, here we are. Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, Palentine’s Day , or nothing at all, I hope you have lots of love in your life. Everyone deserves it.

Things have been… weird for me lately. Writing took a small backseat, which hasn’t been the greatest feeling in the world, but I needed to do some processing. I still have moments where my brain looks like a 1997 Windows loading screen, where I’m not sure what’s real and what’s just a bad dream, but hopefully that lessens soon. I am writing once more, but it’s much slower than before. I’m still working on a few Christmas freebie novellas/shorts and my holiday-themed full-length novel, and I’m hoping to get at least ONE short out by Christmas. We’ll see.

In other news: I’ve decided to do a little giveaway! All you have to do is reply to this email and say “I want in”, and, well, you’re in. The prize? Winner’s choice of a signed paperback of any one of my books OR a digital bundle of all of my books AND novellas in one easy-peasy place. The giveaway runs until March 13, 2026, and the winner, chosen by a randomizer, will be announced in my next newsletter on the 14th.

There’s really not much to say this month, so I’ll let you get back to your regularly scheduled programming. Love y’all, and make sure you tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. You never know when you can’t.

All the Romance You Want January 2026 - December 2026

Turn Up the Heat January 1st 2026 - December 31st 2026

Hearts, Heat, & Happy Endings - ending FEBRUARY 28th

Road Play by Becca Mercer

One vintage car show. One hotel room. One night that changes everything.

Lacey Hansen doesn't fit into anyone's box. She'd rather rebuild a classic car than go to a wine tasting, and she's never missed one of her best friends' hockey games. But every guy who asks her out wants the cool girl in theory—until they realize she's not playing a part.

Darren Steele knows he's lucky. Drafted to the NHL, playing for his dream school, and best friends with the girl who makes his heart race every time she smiles. Too bad she only sees him as a friend. Too bad risking their friendship could mean losing her forever.

When a road trip leaves them stranded overnight with only one hotel room, Darren realizes that playing it safe might be the riskiest move of all.

When I Met Elena by Desiree Span

When surfer Matthew meets sophisticated Doctor Elena, it's like he's caught the perfect wave. He's not into dating, and she's moving to London so even though Elena is way out of his league, there's no reason they can't have some fun till she leaves, right?
But the first impassioned ride on that amazing wave ends with an abrupt crash when Elena runs off in tears, leaving Matt with unanswered questions and a bruised ego.
What appears to be the end of one passionate night is actually the beginning of two people struggling to find each other in a vast sea of grief, loss, and insecurities.

Will they be able to reach the shore together, or will they drift apart and lose each other forever?

Game On by Britney Bell

fifteen by Emerson Hunt

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Haaaappppyyyy (belated) New Year! I truly hope it’s been a wonderful start to the year. And I hope 2026 brings you nothing but joy, peace, and good things. So far, mine has been great—minus a big of a snafu with my laptop at the end of December/a few days into January. Note: Do not put an uncapped bottle of soda anywhere near a laptop. It tends to get… sticky. Thankfully, my...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome. Hello to the last month of the year. It’s been a wild ride, hasn’t it? I don’t know what it’s been like for you, but I’ve had plenty of ups and downs over the last twelve months. Between a release (The Road Back Home), a potential to be in an anthology (which promptly got postponed), and plenty of back-and-forth between writing and not… I’m surprised I’ve lasted...

Holy goshitall, it’s November, which means the year is almost over. 😱 Doesn’t feel like it should be this late into the year, but… It is. Anyway. As you may have noticed, this newsletter is coming atcha a little later in the day than normal. That’s because I spent this morning/afternoon with the kiddos and Husband at my in-laws’, helping them paint/seal walls and get one...
