Spoiler: My kid's older, I'm tired, and books are brewing.

It’s July 12th, and you know what that means? One: It’s Oldest’s birthday (yay, he’s 14 now!), aaaaaaaand two: It’s two weeks until The Road Back Home is released! (Well… roughly 17 days, but close enough, right?) I’m so excited.

It’s been such a great summer so far. One of Husband’s nephews came into town for a couple weeks, so we had a blast with him, going to Six Flags and swimming and to a Ha Ha Tonka charity concert/fireworks showing. Other than that, though, we’ve just relaxed while Husband was on vacation. But now, real life has encroached, and we must return to it. He’s back to work, the older kids are constantly next door after making friends with the neighbor boy, and Duck is… Well, Duck is a 2.5 year old full of stubbornness and independence. It’s making for an interesting experience.

In case you don’t remember, I have part one of a duet novella Letters from Home and my very first novelette, (Too Young), and both are available on my website. To access them, just use the password freeforyou and there will be a link to download them!

Speaking of novellas: I’m currently working on another one! It’s called Across the Hall, Into My Heart (subject to change, depending on how I feel when I’m done writing it). It’s an MM/LGBTQ+ about a man, an emergency, and finding himself in charge of a kid. I’m roughly halfway through it, so I’m hoping I can get it out by the end of September. Maybe sooner. It depends on how much I can focus to write it.

I’m also hard at work writing my grumpy x sunshine and somewhat sorta thinking about organizing a charity anthology. So my mind is full, full, FULL!

Well, that seems to be all for this month. See you in a few weeks! 😘

(Also: Happy early birthday, Mother. How does it feel being an ancient relic?)

The Mothers of Middleton School by Vivian Sterling

They called themselves the "Mad Mothers" of Middleton, partly because the PTA drove them crazy, partly because heartbreak had pushed them to their edge.

Sarah was cheated on. Lila was ghosted by a workaholic husband. Mia's ex came out. Emily, Rachel, and Tessa? Different disasters, same result. No more men. So they made a pact, wine nights over date nights, chaos over codependence, and absolutely zero romantic entanglements. Then a hot teacher smiles at Sarah. Lila's boss actively listens.and when Tessa catches feelings at a school fundraiser? The pact starts cracking like a dropped casserole dish at a bake sale.

Now these women must ask themselves: Was the pact about avoiding love... or finally learning to choose it on their terms?

Packed with laugh-out-loud moments, heart squeezing twists and friendships that feel like family, The Mad Mothers of Middleton, New beginnings is your next binge worthy escape!

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Welcome. Hello to the last month of the year. It’s been a wild ride, hasn’t it? I don’t know what it’s been like for you, but I’ve had plenty of ups and downs over the last twelve months. Between a release (The Road Back Home), a potential to be in an anthology (which promptly got postponed), and plenty of back-and-forth between writing and not… I’m surprised I’ve lasted...

If you’re new, welcome! So glad to have ya. I’m Finley, and I write contemporary romance with heart, heat, and healing. Holy goshitall, it’s November, which means the year is almost over. 😱 Doesn’t feel like it should be this late into the year, but… It is. Anyway. As you may have noticed, this newsletter is coming atcha a little later in the day than normal. That’s because I spent this morning/afternoon with the kiddos and Husband at my in-laws’, helping them paint/seal walls and get one...

I meant to get this out Saturday, but I totally lost track of time. Then yesterday was full of helping my in-laws, so I didn’t get the chance to draft this up. Now it’s 6:30 in the morning on a Monday...
